Rev Joshua Bynum

Joshua loves serving as the pastor of First Methodist Sweeny. Serving the congregation and the community brings him great fulfillment. He is called to proclaim Jesus and be his disciple. Following Jesus brings him the greatest joy in life. Joshua is also a police chaplain, Cubmaster, and Houston Rodeo Recycling Committeeman. He is the fourth generation in his family to serve as a Methodist pastor in Texas. His great grandfather started serving in the 1920's. So Joshua takes great care to continue that legacy of serving Jesus' church. 

He is a graduate of Asbury University with a double major in History and Political Science with an emphasis in Political Philosophy. His Master's degree is from Asbury Theological Seminary. He also took additional classes from Baylor University's Truitt Seminary.

Marty is a woman of many talents. She takes care of all the day to day details of running the church as well as graphic design. 

When she is not at the church she is running around to her children's activities or spending time with her husband.
